TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Poltracking survey agency has released the latest results of the Indonesian government survey conducted in May 2026. One of the topics included the public trust level towards President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
The Poltracking researcher, Masduri Amrawi, stated that out of 1,220 people surveyed in various regions of Indonesia, 8 percent of the respondents expressed a very high level of trust in Prabowo-Gibran. Meanwhile, 66.2 percent admitted to having a fair amount of trust.
"If we combine the respondents who have very high and fair trust, the figure reaches 74.2 percent," Masdur said during a virtual press conference on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
On the other hand, Masduri mentioned that 20.6 percent of respondents expressed a lack of trust in the president and vice president. Meanwhile, another 1.5 percent stated absolutely no trust. A total of 22.3 percent of respondents admitted to not believing in Prabowo-Gibran.
In addition to public trust, Poltracking also surveyed public satisfaction with the government's performance. The result showed that 72.2 percent of respondents admitted to being satisfied with Prabowo and Gibran's performance.
On the other hand, 23.2 percent of the respondents expressed dissatisfaction. Another 1.9 percent stated that they were highly dissatisfied, adding to this figure.
Based on this survey, Poltracking concluded that the public's perception of the administration of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka is relatively positive. "These findings indicate that the majority of the public still assesses the government's performance positively across various sectors," said Masduri.
The latest survey by Poltracking Indonesia took place from May 11 to 17, 2026. Poltracking surveyed Indonesian citizens who have the right to vote, either because they are at least 17 years old or already married.
Poltracking employed a multistage random sampling method with a total of 1,220 respondents from various regions in Indonesia. They conducted face-to-face interviews with the selected respondents for this survey.
For this instance, the survey agency estimated its margin of error to be around 2.9 percent, with a 95 percent confidence level.
