TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that parts of Jakarta will experience light rain on Thursday afternoon.

A BMKG Instagram post, quoted in Jakarta on Thursday, stated that the Jakarta area, including West, East, Central, North, South Jakarta, and the Seribu Islands Regency, is expected to be cloudy to partly cloudy in the morning.

Then, on Thursday afternoon, Jakarta will remain shrouded in thick clouds, except for South Jakarta, which is forecast to be partly cloudy.

The thick clouds that hung over Jakarta on Thursday afternoon caused rain in parts of Jakarta in the afternoon, including South, East, and North Jakarta. While West, Central Jakarta, and the Seribu Islands Regency are forecast to be cloudy to partly cloudy.

Meanwhile, on Thursday night and midnight, Jakarta will again be shrouded in clouds. Light rain is known to drop less than 1-5 mm (millimeters) of water per hour. Moderate rain, on the other hand, brings 5-10 mm of water per hour.

On the same day, wind speeds in the five regions ranged from 3-6 kilometers per hour, with air temperatures ranging from a low of 24 to a high of 31 degrees Celsius.
