ICW Questions KPK Delay on Prabowo, Cabinet Wealth Reports

21 hours ago 3

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) has formally written to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the absence of State Officials' Wealth Reports (LHKPN) for President Prabowo Subianto and 38 members of his Red and White Cabinet.

ICW researcher Yassar Aulia confirmed that the inquiry was sent directly to the KPK’s Information and Documentation Officer.

"The letter we submitted seeks an explanation from the KPK as to why 39 members of the Red and White Cabinet, including President Prabowo Subianto, do not yet have their wealth reports listed on the KPK’s e-LHKPN website," he told reporters at the KPK’s Red and White Building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Tempo’s observations, President Prabowo’s latest wealth report is indeed missing from the portal, with the most recent entry dating back to 2024. This discrepancy persists despite a KPK statement on April 1, 2026, asserting that the President had submitted his report on time.

Yassar detailed that the 38 other cabinet members in question include 16 ministers, 20 deputy ministers, and two agency heads, though he has not yet disclosed their specific identities.

He noted that public access to these reports typically opens via a pop-up notice after the March 31 deadline. "However, based on ICW’s monitoring as of May 4, the names of these 38 cabinet members and President Prabowo Subianto remain unavailable," Yassar observed.

According to him, there are indeed several possibilities for the delay, ranging from ongoing verification processes by the anti-corruption agency to the potential failure of these officials to report. "It seems that over a month should be more than enough time for the KPK to verify and examine reports submitted by the March 31 deadline," Yassar remarked.

He further warned that the LHKPN is not merely a matter of administrative formality. It is a vital instrument for corruption prevention through public oversight. It allows the public to monitor for any suspicious surges in assets or undisclosed wealth.

"When these reports are not listed on the KPK website, especially after more than a month, it restricts the public's right to supervise the assets of state officials," Yassar concluded.
