TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence (KontraS) reported that ten demonstrators remain unaccounted for following recent protests.
“The total number of missing persons reported is ten,” KontraS Coordinator Dimas Bagus Arya said in a written statement on Friday, September 5, 2025.
According to Dimas, some cases fall into the category of short-term enforced disappearances, where demonstrators were later discovered in police custody. He explained that the reports came through the KontraS complaint center, with victims last seen in various areas near protest sites.

Fujian Esa Gumilar – last seen in Cikole, Bandung
Delta Surya Sindu Atmaja – last seen in Bogor
Eko Purnomo – last seen in Central Jakarta
Heri Susanto – last seen in Central Jakarta
M. Miftakhul Huda – last seen in Central Jakarta
Muhammad Farhan Hamid – last seen in Central Jakarta
Reno Syahputrodewo – last seen in Central Jakarta
Bima Permana Putra – last seen in West Jakarta
Septian Eka Saputra – last seen in East Jakarta
Jidane Ferdiansyah – last seen in East Jakarta
Earlier, KontraS recorded 23 missing demonstrators as of Monday, September 1, 2025. Several have since been located, with some confirmed to be detained at the Jakarta Metro Police and North Jakarta Police Headquarters, while others have been released.
Dimas urged the public to report missing relatives or provide information about victims through the KontraS hotline at 089635225998.
