TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2026 Grammy Awards took place on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in Los Angeles, broadcast live on the CBS Television Network and streamed on Paramount+. Leading up to the main event, the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony, where the majority of the day's honors were presented, streamed live from the Peacock Theater via the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel.
The Grammy Awards remain the only peer-recognized honors in the industry, with winners selected by the Recording Academy’s voting membership. This body is comprised of music creators across all genres and disciplines, including recording artists, songwriters, producers, mixers, and engineers.
Their votes determine every nominee and winner on "Music’s Biggest Night," solidifying the Grammy as a uniquely industry-voted distinction.
This year also marked a significant evolution for the Academy, with the 2026 Grammys introducing two new categories: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. These additions reflect the Academy's ongoing commitment to recognizing a broader spectrum of artistic expertise and celebrating the diverse ways in which modern music is created and consumed.
