TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina Patra Niaga has raised the prices of several non-subsidized fuel products, effective September 1, 2026.

The price increases took effect at midnight local time, affecting Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex.

Pertamax Turbo (RON 98) rose by Rp1,300 per liter, from Rp18,300 to Rp19,600. Dexlite increased by Rp4,000 per liter, from Rp19,700 to Rp23,700, while Pertamina Dex rose by Rp4,050 per liter, from Rp21,150 to Rp25,200.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Vice President of Corporate Communication Kitty Andhora said the adjustments were based on a government-set pricing formula that takes into account several factors, including global crude oil prices, the rupiah exchange rate, taxes and other considerations such as consumer purchasing power.

“The price adjustments apply only to several non-subsidized fuel products, namely Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Dex and Dexlite. Other non-subsidized fuels, including Pertamax 92 and Pertamax Green 95, remain unchanged,” Kitty said in a written statement on Monday, August 31.

She said the decision also considered economic conditions, purchasing power and broader social conditions.

Pertamina Patra Niaga said the price changes would not affect its commitment to maintaining product quality and providing services to consumers.

The company also urged consumers to purchase fuel according to their needs and use products that match their vehicles’ specifications.

The new rates effective September 1 are as follows:

  • Pertamax Turbo (RON 98): Rp19,600 per liter, up from Rp18,300

  • Dexlite: Rp23,700 per liter, up from Rp19,700

  • Pertamina Dex: Rp25,200 per liter, up from Rp21,150
