The Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) has arrested 15 individuals suspected of being involved in the kidnapping and murder case of the Assistant Branch Head of Bank BRI, Muhammad Ilham Pradipta. The Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Ade Ary Syam Indradi, stated that a joint team is continuously working on investigating the case. "At least we have updated that 15 individuals have been apprehended," he said during a press conference at Polda Metro Jaya, South Jakarta, on Tuesday, August 16, 2025.
Out of the 15 detainees, six were captured by the Mobile Detective Unit (Subdit Resmob), while the other nine were apprehended by the Crime and Violence Unit (Jatanras). Ade Ary mentioned that the joint team is still examining the roles of the suspected perpetrators. "So that later we can conclude the individual roles within these 15," he stated.
Previously, the Jatanras Subdirectorate of Polda Metro Jaya had detained Dwi Hartono (DH) along with his accomplices on Saturday, August 23, 2025. "The perpetrators with the initials DH, YJ, and AA were captured on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 20:15 WIB (Western Indonesian Time), in the Solo area, Central Java," stated the Deputy Director of Jatanras of Polda Metro Jaya, Chief Commissioner Abdul Rahim, as quoted by Antara on Sunday, August 24, 2025.
Another suspected mastermind with the initial C was apprehended by the police in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area of North Jakarta at 15:30 WIB on Sunday. "Four intellectual actors involved in the kidnapping and/or murder of the BRI branch head," said Abdul.
Muhammad Ilham Pradipta was kidnapped in the parking area of PT Lotte Mart Indonesia's Head Office in Ciracas, East Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon, August 20, 2025. He was found dead the next morning with his hands and feet tied, and his eyes wrapped in tape, in Kampung Karangsambung RT 8/RW 4, Desa Nagasari, Serang Baru District, Bekasi Regency.
On the same day, the police also arrested 4 individuals involved in the kidnapping of the BRI Assistant Branch Head, namely AT, RS, RAH, and RW in two locations. "AT, RS, RAH were arrested at Jalan Johar Baru III No. 42, Central Jakarta, while RW was apprehended when attempting to escape at NTT airport," stated the Deputy Director of the Mobile Detective Unit of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Resa Fiardi Marasabessy, in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
