Prabowo's 2024 Volunteer Coordinator Named Pertamina Retail Commissioner

4 hours ago 1

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Ginka Febriyanti Br. Ginting, coordinator of the National Objective Strategic Intellectual Front (BISON), has drawn public attention after her appointment as a commissioner of PT Pertamina Retail, a subsidiary of state-owned energy company Pertamina.

The scrutiny stems from her relatively young age and her role as the leader of a volunteer group that supported President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka during the 2024 election campaign.

Although the appointment has recently attracted attention, Ginka has served as a commissioner since late last year. According to PT Pertamina Retail's official website, she was appointed through a shareholders' circular resolution issued on November 21, 2025.

She currently serves alongside Lia Itok Garbianto and Devi Taurisa on the company's board of commissioners.

PT Pertamina Retail operates under Pertamina Patra Niaga, the commercial and trading subholding of Pertamina, and oversees the retail fuel business, including gas station operations and the marketing of fuel and non-fuel products.

According to her official profile, Ginka earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting and a master's degree in Management from Esa Unggul University. She is described as an active figure in youth, community, and social organizations with a strong interest in organizational governance, leadership, and strategic development.

Social media posts by BISON indicate that Ginka was still serving as the organization's chairperson when she was appointed commissioner.

An Instagram post published on October 29, 2025, congratulated her on her "new assignment as Commissioner of Pertamina Retail." The organization's latest posts also continue to identify her as its chair.

Her appointment has sparked questions because of her leadership role in a political volunteer organization that campaigned for Prabowo and Gibran.

Ginka's name also surfaced in connection with allegations surrounding a demonstration on August 25, 2025. The Fact-Finding Commission (KPF), established to investigate the protest, said it found strong indications that some participants had been paid to attend.

"Was there a paid crowd? Yes," Muhammad Isnur, chairman of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI), said at the Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) office in South Jakarta on February 18, 2026. "There were confessions from paid participants led by an organization called the National Objective Strategic Intellectual Front, or BISON."

Tempo has sought comment from Roberth M.V. Dumatubun, Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, regarding Ginka's appointment process and qualifications for the commissioner role. As of the publication of this article, no response had been received.
