Agibot Humanoid Robot Enters Indonesia with Silat Moves

2 hours ago 2

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chinese robotics company Agibot has officially entered the Indonesian market with a lineup of AI-based robots, including humanoid models capable of dancing and executing pencak silat moves.

This capability was showcased at the Agibot Partner Conference Indonesia (APC Indonesia) held in Jakarta yesterday. One of the exhibited humanoid robots successfully captured the attention of visitors by demonstrating the traditional Indonesian martial arts movements.

Agibot's expansion into Indonesia is part of the company's efforts to broaden the deployment of AI-based robotics technology and introduce the concept of Robot as a Service (RaaS). Through this model, the company aims to lower the adoption barriers for robotics technology in the domestic market.

For its Indonesian expansion, Agibot has teamed up with PT Denka Pratama Indonesia as a strategic partner. Through this collaboration, at least five robots, including three humanoid models, have been brought to the country.

Chief Marketing Officer of Denka Pratama Indonesia, Bagus Widyanto, stated that the company's role goes beyond mere distribution to encompass brand development, marketing, distribution, and after-sales services.

These robots are designed to support various productivity needs across several sectors. "What can these humanoid robots do in terms of productivity? First, for industrial purposes; second, in logistics, as assistants for retail, security, and also for commercial purposes," he said during the launch on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Denka's Founder, Ching, believes that combining Agibot's technology with Denka's local operational network and capabilities will open up new opportunities for the development of the robotics market in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, President of the Middle East and Asia Pacific Region at Agibot, Abel Deng, stated that the introduction of RaaS in Indonesia can accelerate the adoption of AI-based robotics to enhance productivity in various sectors.

During the conference, Agibot also introduced an embodied AI industrial development approach called the XYZ Curve. The company also presented various scenarios demonstrating the utilization of AI robots to enhance productivity and support industrial growth.

To make this technology more accessible to the public, Agibot and Denka have appointed PT Robotika Futuristik Indonesia (robotshow.id) as the official partner for leasing humanoid robots and robodogs in Indonesia.

Moving forward, Agibot plans to introduce a wider range of product portfolios and solutions tailored to industrial needs in Indonesia, helping local companies improve productivity and accelerate digital transformation.
