Bank Mandiri Posts Rp15.4 Trillion Profit in Q1 2026

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk has recorded consolidated net profit of Rp15.4 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, marking a 16.6 percent annual growth (year on year/YoY). The profitability is considered strong, reflected in the Return on Equity (ROE) at 22.1 percent and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) at 19.7 percent.

The President Director of Bank Mandiri, Riduan, stated that this achievement is the result of a focused and impactful synergy that contributes to the national economy. "The performance we have achieved not only reflects mere business growth, but is also the tangible result of synergy involving various elements of the national economy," Riduan said in an official statement on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

Bank Mandiri's intermediary performance in Q1 2026 shows acceleration above the industry average. The credit disbursement until March 2026 reached Rp1,530 trillion, a 17.4 percent annual increase, surpassing the industry's 9.37 percent growth based on the Financial Services Authority data as of February 2026.

In terms of funding, Third Party Funds (bank only) reached Rp1,675 trillion, a 21.1 percent annual increase, higher than the industry's 13.2 percent growth in the same period.

The funding structure is also strengthened with the Current Account Saving Account (CASA) amounting to Rp1,201 trillion, growing by 12.7 percent YoY. Operational productivity has also improved, reflected in the declining BOPO ratio to 58.0 percent, a 3.48 percent improvement YoY.

The Director of Corporate Banking at Bank Mandiri, M. Rizaldi, stated that business expansion is balanced with disciplined asset quality management. The bank's Gross NPL ratio is maintained at 0.98 percent, improving by 3 basis points YoY, significantly below the industry average of 2.17 percent, supported by NPL Coverage Ratio at 245 percent.
