TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Information Center, Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, stated that the Military Police have named four TNI personnel involved in the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus as suspects.
The four suspects are members of the TNI's Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS): Captain NDP, First Lieutenant SL, First Lieutenant BHW, and Second Sergeant ES.
"The four perpetrators have been named suspects and are being detained at a military detention facility," Aulia said in an official press release received in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The Head of the Information Center continued that the four suspects have been detained since March 18, 2026, and are currently under the close supervision of the Military Police of the Jaya Guntur Military Command (Pomdam).
Investigators from the Indonesian Military Police (POM TNI) are still gathering information by questioning several witnesses. Aulia ensured that the investigation by POM TNI investigators is proceeding smoothly and in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
Previously, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) had attempted to take firm action against those involved in the attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus.
As a form of accountability, TNI Headquarters announced that the position of Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (BAIS), held by Lieutenant General Yudi Abrimantyo, had been handed over as a result of the investigation into the acid attack on KontraS activist Andrie Yunus.
"As a form of accountability, today the handover of the Head of BAIS has taken place," said the Head of the TNI Information Center, Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, during a press conference at TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Wednesday, March 25.
