TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) Executive Committee member Arya Sinulingga said Teladan Medan Stadium is one of three venues for the ASEAN U-19 Championship 2026 (AFF Cup).
"We are using three stadiums, including Teladan Stadium," said Arya Sinulingga after the AFF U-19 Cup draw in Medan on Thursday, as quoted by ANTARA.
He said that preparations for the stadium, which is currently undergoing revitalization, will continue to be accelerated and optimized.
"Although there won't be a full crowd, we're working to get the pitch, changing rooms, and other things ready as soon as possible," he said.
Despite being in the revitalization stage, Arya emphasized that the stadium, which has a projected capacity of 20,000 spectators, will officially be the venue for the international tournament.
"Exemplary fix becomes a venue. One of the venues," he said.
He said the AFF U-19 Cup, which will be held from June 1-14, 2026, will use the North Sumatra Main Stadium, Madya Stadium, and Teladan Stadium.
"The training venues are at the Mini Pancing Stadium, Cadika Field, and Kebun Bunga Field," he said.
The results of the AFF U-19 Cup draw show that Indonesia, as the host, will face Vietnam, Timor Leste, and Myanmar in Group A.
Meanwhile, Group B will feature Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam. Australia, Cambodia, and the Philippines will be in Group C.
