TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Prabowo Subianto vented his frustration at ministers and agency heads attending a limited Cabinet meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on Saturday night, July 11, 2026. The President convened the meeting after reviewing developments in the corruption investigation involving former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah, which had unfolded three days earlier.
Among those attending were Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander Gen. Agus Subiyanto, Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin, and State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief Muhammad Herindra. Of the government's top security officials, only National Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo was absent.
Before his subordinates, President Prabowo said he wanted no further turmoil over the handling of Febrie's alleged corruption case. State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, who accompanied the President, said Prabowo wanted updates on the progress of the case involving both the police and prosecutors.
According to Prasetyo, the President's objective was to preserve economic stability. "A prerequisite for stability is reducing unnecessary turmoil," Prasetyo said when asked for confirmation in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, July 15. However, he denied reports that the President had erupted in anger over the handling of the Febrie investigation.
