TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has predicted the weather in the Jakarta area on Monday, June 22, 2026, will generally be dominated by clear and partly cloudy conditions in the morning until noon.
Meanwhile, several areas have the potential to be hit by rain in the afternoon to the evening, especially West Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta, as quoted by Antara on Sunday.
In the morning, most of the Jakarta area is predicted to experience clear, partly cloudy weather. Central Jakarta has the potential for clear weather from early morning until noon, while West Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are also predicted to be in partly cloudy conditions. The air temperature in the morning is expected to range from 24-27 degrees Celsius.
As we move into the afternoon, the weather in most DKI Jakarta areas is still relatively conducive with partly cloudy to hazy conditions. The air temperature rises and reaches a range of 29-31 degrees Celsius.
In the afternoon, the public needs to be cautious about the potential for rain in several areas. South Jakarta will experience thunderstorms, while East Jakarta has the potential to be hit by moderate rainfall. Meanwhile, West Jakarta is expected to experience light rain.
In contrast to these three areas, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are still predicted to be partly cloudy to clear.
As we move into the evening, the weather conditions in most Jakarta areas improve, with a dominance of partly cloudy weather. However, East Jakarta still has the potential for light rain in the early evening, before gradually easing off.
The BMKG advises the public, especially those in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, and West Jakarta, who are active in the afternoon to anticipate the potential for rain.
