The posts claim the groups are traveling to demonstrate at the Indonesian Parliament (DPR) Building on August 27, 2026.
Some accounts claim the convoy originated in Lampung and Palembang to join protesters from Pati, Central Java. Others claim protesters from Banyuwangi, East Java, are traveling along the Pantura (North Coast) route. Is it true that these videos show bus convoys transporting demonstrators for the August 27, 2026 rally?

Tempo verified the content using Google reverse image searches and cross-referenced the clips with credible sources. While residents did gather to protest in Jakarta on August 27, 2026, the circulating videos consist of older footage.
Video Verification
The first clip shows a line of buses on a highway. This video is identical to a post by TikTok account belmasproject on March 8, 2026. The footage was part of the Night On The Road Yogyakarta 2026 event hosted by a bus enthusiast community during mid-Ramadan.
The second clip shows a bus convoy escorted by police vehicles. This video is promotional material for a bus transportation service uploaded by the Instagram account msm.afawisata_official on December 17, 2024.
The third clip matches content from the TikTok account dronejogja.id posted on November 21, 2025. The uploader documented a convoy of 15 buses traveling along the southern Java highway.
The fourth clip has been circulating since February 9, 2026. Published by TikTok account anak.jalanan.tebing.breksi, the video shows a convoy of 15 buses near Tebing Breksi, a former quarry turned tourist destination in Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region.
The next clip was uploaded by TikTok account situbondo.raceway on May 31, 2026. The video shows a fleet of buses operated by PO Putra Handayani Trans passing through Situbondo, East Java.
The clip claiming to show a crowd traveling from Banyuwangi to Jakarta via Situbondo is also false. Uploaded by Instagram account Infogresik on January 29, 2026, the video recorded a 150-bus religious pilgrimage. A Google Maps search confirmed the recording location at the 54.683.09 Panarukan gas station in Situbondo, next to a sign for a Padang restaurant.
