TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The suspect connected to the shooting of right-wing agitator Charlie Kirk at a Utah university has been apprehended. President Donald Trump revealed this information on Friday, September 12, 2025, as reported by France24.
"I think we have him," Trump told Fox News in an interview, adding that the suspect's father reported him to the authorities.
This arrest concludes a high-risk manhunt following what Trump called a "vicious murder."
However, the U.S. president's statement has yet to be verified by the FBI or other authorities.
Kirk's killer had evaded police and federal agents for over 24 hours after the shooting on Wednesday, when a sniper shot and killed Kirk while he was attending an event at Utah Valley University in Orem.
The suspect in the shooting, Tyler Robinson, is a 22-year-old man from Utah, as reported by the New York Post.
