TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto held a limited meeting, or ralat, at his residence on Jalan Kertanegara IV, South Jakarta, on Friday, February 27, 2026. The meeting took place shortly after Prabowo returned to Indonesia from an eleven-day official trip abroad.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said Prabowo had just landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base on Friday morning after visiting four countries, from the United States to the United Arab Emirates. "Then, today he will also hold a limited meeting," Teddy told reporters at the Jakarta Presidential Palace.
Teddy explained that the meeting was held during Ramadan, roughly two hours before iftar. "Maybe around 04:00 PM, then the limited meeting will continue until iftar, and possibly afterward," he added.
The meeting at Kertanegara was conducted in a closed setting. Teddy did not specify which officials were invited to attend the discussion at the president’s family residence.
Security measures were visibly tight. The Presidential Security Force (Paspampres) blocked road access approximately 50 meters from the house. Several guest vehicles were observed around Prabowo’s residence around 06:00 PM, with some cars departing by 08:00 PM, while others remained parked nearby.
Prabowo’s overseas tour began in the United States, departing Indonesia on Monday, February 16, 2026, and arriving in Washington D.C. the following day. In the United States, he met with US President Donald Trump to sign a trade agreement and attended the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace.
After the United States, Prabowo continued to London, England, on Monday, February 23, 2026. In the United Kingdom, he witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between Danantara Investment Management and the British semiconductor company Arm Limited.
Following England, Prabowo traveled to Jordan, where he visited the Basman Palace in Amman to meet with King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
From Jordan, he proceeded to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, February 26, 2026, to meet with President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) at Qasr Al Bahr Palace in Abu Dhabi. Prabowo also joined President MBZ and UAE emirs for iftar during the visit.
Prabowo returned to Indonesia from the UAE and landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base on Friday morning, February 27, 2026, before heading to his residence in South Jakarta for the limited meeting.
