TEMPO.COJakarta - Trekking is a thrilling option for a weekend getaway. Beyond being a healthy activity, trekking offers a great opportunity to enjoy fresh air and scenic views. This activity is less demanding than climbing tall mountains, making it perfect for beginners or those seeking a light, healing experience.

Bandung is an ideal destination for trekking due to its hilly terrain and surrounding mountainous areas. Its highland location provides numerous easily accessible trails that are picturesque and offer a harmonious blend with nature.

Below are several trekking trails in Bandung to explore this weekend.

Best Trekking Trails in Bandung

1. Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda (Tahura)

Tahura is a vast nature conservation area spanning more than 500 hectares, located in Dago Pakar, not far from Bandung's city center. The trekking route in this forest park is suitable for all skill levels, featuring a track that is relatively flat but still provides a decent challenge.

Along the way, visitors can explore interesting spots such as Gua Belanda (Dutch Cave), Gua Jepang (Japanese Cave), as well as beautiful waterfalls and refreshing pine forest views.

2. Mount Putri Lembang

Gunung Putri is a popular peak situated in the Lembang area, renowned for its sunrise views. The trek to the summit is not overly difficult, taking only about 30 to 45 minutes. From the top, visitors can enjoy the sight of a mist-covered Lembang City in the morning, creating a truly spectacular "land above the clouds" impression.

3. Mount Tangkuban Parahu

Mount Tangkuban Parahu is famous for the local legend of Sangkuriang. In addition to its volcanic crater tourism, this mountain also offers interesting trekking routes, one of which leads to Domas Crater. This trail provides a unique experience of walking through a tropical forest while enjoying the distinct scent of sulfur.

4. Keraton Cliff

This dramatic cliff, located within the Tahura area, offers an impressive view of dense forests from a high vantage point. The trek to Keraton Cliff is relatively short but can be challenging due to its rocky and uphill terrain. It is a fantastic spot for capturing stunning photos with an impressive natural backdrop.

5. Cimahi  Waterfall

Cimahi Waterfall stands at a height of approximately 87 meters and is located in the Cisarua area. To reach the waterfall, visitors must descend dozens of steps surrounded by a lush forest. While the route requires a descent (and an ascent on the return), the experience of witnessing this magnificent waterfall makes the journey worthwhile.

6. Mount Hawu Cliff

Mount Hawu, situated in Padalarang, is known for its unique limestone cliff formations. In addition to trekking, visitors can try rock climbing or explore hidden trails behind the hills. One of the favorite spots is the "sky bridge," an adventurous path made from tree roots.

7. Moko Hill

Bukit Moko is one of the highest points in Bandung, offering panoramic views of the city from above. The trekking route is accessible from the Padasuka area. Along the way, visitors will be treated to views of pine forests and fresh, cool air. At the summit, you can enjoy the sunset while having a coffee at Warung Daweung.
