TEMPO.COJakartaIndonesian President Prabowo Subianto led a limited meeting with several ministers at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) said the meeting discussed the acceleration of the government's priority program implementation. Prabowo ordered bureaucratic acceleration in the government's program implementation.

"His directive is that all programs must be accelerated in their implementation, there should be no obstacles due to paperwork reasons. That means, the reason is a regulation, or something like that," said Zulhas at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 9 September 2025.

In the food sector, Zulhas conveyed that the government focuses on two major agendas: the optimization of already productive agricultural land and the development of new fields for paddy cultivation. This land development includes the areas of Wanam Papua, South Sumatra, Central Kalimantan, and other regions.

"Specifically, for Wanam, roads have been built, and the port is nearly completed. But we will soon resolve the spatial planning issue. It is a designated area, it has been coordinated (integrated team), and there's spatial planning that we will soon finish to expedite the change of its function," he said.

Furthermore, Zulhas emphasized that the government also pays attention to the availability of protein for the public. In support of this, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is planned to develop 20,000 hectares of fishponds within this year.

"That is also requested to be expedited this year, and next year, 20,000 hectares must be completed from the target of 70,000 hectares," he said.

In addition to food, Zulhas mentioned that acceleration will also be carried out for the Red and White Village Cooperative program. Not only that, a similar approach also applies to the Fishermen's Village or Fishermen's Village program, which is targeted to reach 100 villages this year.

Prior to this, Prabowo held a closed meeting with several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet at the Presidential Palace, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, 9 September 2025. They were Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni, Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, and Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto.

Then, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, and Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.

Raja Juli was not aware of the agenda of the meeting. However, based on the summoned ministers, Raja Juli prepared materials regarding food reserve forests, energy, and water.

Based on the communication with the State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Raja Juli said the president might inquire about the progress of the Peusangan Elephant Conservation Initiative (PECI) on the president's land in Aceh.

"That is the president's land given for elephant conservation," he said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, 9 September 2025.

In addition, Raja Juli will report on the forest restoration in the Way Kambas National Park.
