TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto revealed that two transportation application companies, GoTo and Grab, are preparing funds of approximately Rp100 billion to Rp110 billion for the 2026 Eid Bonus (BHR). The value has doubled compared to last year's realization of Rp50billion.
"GoTo and Grab are preparing an aggregate fund of Rp100-110 billion in 2026," said Airlangga during a press conference at his office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Each platform will distribute the Eid Bonus to around 400,000 partners, bringing the total estimated recipients from both companies to 800,000 partners.
For Maxim, he noted that 51,000 productive partners have been designated as recipients of the 2026 Eid Bonus, a significant increase compared to the previous year, which saw only about a thousand partners.
Meanwhile, inDrive has stated its commitment to distribute the Eid Bonus to around 500 drivers. Overall, the 2026 Eid Bonus will be granted to more than 850,000 driver partners with a total value of around Rp220 billion.
The government is pushing for the distribution of the Eid Bonus to be completed early, starting from 14 days prior (H-14) and no later than seven days (H-7) before Eid al-Fitr. This policy is expected to help driver partners meet their needs and maintain purchasing power ahead of the festive season.
Regarding social protection, the government notes that application companies have facilitated driver partners' participation in the Occupational Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Insurance (JKm) programs organized by the Workers' Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) as an effort to strengthen the protection of informal sector workers.
In addition to the Eid Bonus, the government is also preparing a number of stimuli ahead of Eid al-Fitr, including transportation discounts with a budget allocation of Rp911.16 billion from state and non-state budgets. Furthermore, food assistance in the form of 10 kilograms of rice and 2 liters of cooking oil will be distributed to 35.04 million Beneficiary Families with a budget of Rp14.09 trillion.
The government is also implementing a Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy on March 16, 17, 25, 26, and 27, 2026, for civil servants and private sector workers to optimize community mobility and consumption.
